A song born out of the boulevard in Berlin, not the man Karl Marx himself. We walked up and down Karl-Marx-Allee many times throughout the winter of 2010/11 in the snow and "freezing cold". At that time we had no laptop or instruments and when we weren't staring at four walls in our "bunker" we had to make the long trek for internet access.

Originally written by David William as a 19yr old, this song appeared on his album "One Way Ticket" a number of years later in 2006, and has now worked itself into the growing SoulJahm canon.

Recorded one morning in Budapest in the blazing heat, this song was originally written in December 2011, shortly after arriving in Berlin from Paris on the night train with a guitar & too much luggage for two people.

Originally written on ukulele while staying on the island of Giudecca in the summer of 2011, we have been working on a more layered recording since then. There is a special train ticket in Italy called "Sabato Italiano" (Italian Saturday) and as we moved through Italy we noticed every time we were due to move onto a new place it happened to be a Saturday.
