For
a number of months when we first came to Europe we kept encountering
the name Suzanne (or variations of it) in various places. The owner of
the very first apartment we stayed in Barcelona was called Susana.
Arriving in Paris after that, taking our luggage off the airport bus, we
looked up and a bus drove by right in front of us with 'Suzanne'
emblazoned on it.
We never saw the bus again until it passed us on our
last day in Paris. Later, by default, we ended up in a hotel in Prague
called the Aparthotel Susa.
By the time we got to Budapest, and had some instruments, a song came out of all this on the ukulele and melodica.

Along the road
We go we go

Travel is what life is for
And you know that of that I'm sure
Indigo lightly; you're driving so blindly
And you're burning slow to a fork in the road

Along the road
We go we go

From Barcelona I moved on
To Paris where I saw you turn
Rainbow connection don't miss your direction
For we've paid the price don't make the same mistake twice

Along the road
We go we go
Suzanne
Emptiness falls on all that you know
Dissolving the road
You're standing still
While the world moves along
